Not knowing Subliminimal very well, I simply wrote some lyrics. Subby, you are hereby awarded full copyright to these lyrics, to reproduce and use them as you please, and property of any future profits you may or may not make off them, assuming the song becomes a hit with your world-famous punk band.
Merry Christmas!
EDIT: The more I look at this thing, the more I like it, so I decided it deserved a better title. Ie, a non-silly one.
These are pieces that I did for a creative poetry course this fall (2008). The idea was to experiment with different forms, so I'll label each one for your edification.
Commentary for Hard:
This is a syllabic, with a pattern of 4 lines of 7 syllables followed by an unfixed number of lines with 13 syllables, followed by 4 more lines, etc. I’m hoping that the different line length underscores the difference in tone in the two types of stanza. The general theme of it has to do with a sort of preemptive nostalgia. I hate nostalgia as a rule, so the idea here is to get a jump on it now so I won’t be tempted to do it later.
Commentary for Steady Hands:
So this is a sestina. It has a really elaborate pattern of repeated end-words. You use the same six words to end each line in each stanza, in a very specific order. It doesn't have a fixed meter, but I like to be rhythmic, so.
Commentary for Coming Down:
This is a glosa. The idea os to pay tribute to a loved author by using a quatrain from one of their works (preferably one of the more obscure works, for street cred). The quatrain goes at the beginning, then you use one line of it as the last OR first line of each 10-line stanza. The meter is unfixed, but, as usual, I like to be rhythmic.

Before you start speculation on my love life, know this- the "lost love" refers to my old motorcycle.
The tv, it is a black hole. I don't want to turn it off, so the next best is to write witty poems about it.
This series is about my imaginary friend Luke who bulids rocketships and other fun stuff in his basement. Pernmanent hair removers. Flying carpets. Really really loud amps that are only as big as an iPod. I'm 17. Is it childish to have imaginary friends? No it is not, cause my imaginary friends are way cooler than your imaginary friends. So there.
This is the series in which goes the users daylogs, please keep non-daylogs out of here, and keep daylogs in here. Also, do not edit the title of this, or pieces in it will not be recognised as daylogs, thanks.
