Work from my creative writing class 07-08.
Most of this is complete rubbish, and can be ignored. Some stuff I genuinely like.
Commentary for I love you, stupid:
This piece had to be modeled after another poem that we had to read in class. I chose Funeral Blues [plagiarist.com] by W.H. Auden.
Commentary for Not Your Love Song:
Lyric writing assignment. She actually made us sing these. By the way! I have absolutely NO sense of meter. XD
Commentary for Except Not Really:
We had to write villanelles. They were incredibly fun. =D
Originally, this series was supposed to be a set of basic character studies for people in my life. My friends, my family, random acquaintances that left some sort of mark on my life. However, as I started writing them, I realized that these pieces reflected me better than the people I had originally started writing about.
Commentary for The Fall:
You know those silly surveys you find on myspace?
This piece started out as an answer to the question "Where would you rather be right now?"
Commentary for Canvas:
Written after painting over a half finished piece of me and my ex-boyfriend.
I wrote this back in April, found it, and realized I hadn't posted anything here for awhile.</i
I moved "Blood and Bricks" into here. Basically, a group of shorts all about putting your fist through a wall.
Once upon a time there was a boy who thought he was in love with a girl. He was in love with love, though. And bad things happened.
Based on true events.
Will write better description later.
Names have been changed to protect everyone.
I get angry when writing these. They bring up a lot of bad memories. So if I don't add to this for long periods of time, I'm just trying to prolong the inevitable.
