This was a novel I was working on a while ago. I got twenty pages into and things were going everywhere.
Basicly, it's about a boy whos writing a comic book and Dick Van Dick is his consious. His little sister is getting told what to do from her freaky little teady bear. The neighbor is a missionary who catches wind of all of this. I have to tell you, were I ever to finish it, this story would be a fucked up little number, but I doubt I will unless something draws me back into it.
Anyway, I'll post this one chapter at a time like I've been doing with my other stuff. Oh, and this work is kind of old and I don't want to take the time to rewrite any of it, so it's coming to you in "as is" condition.

I'm in a creative writing class at BCC so I've got all of these writing exersizes that are just gathering dust on my computer, so why not show them to the world? Anyway, these are all short, generally a page or two.
Peripatetic is the working title of the first story in the novel I am currently working on. It's about an actor named Troy who's career is going nowhere. He gets a call from his older brother Johnny that their mom died and Johnnys in some sort of trouble. Troy decides to see his brother who live across the country, and so he sets out with little money and a backpack full of pudding and only his thumb in the air to transport him.
The entire work is going to be comprised of three storys, this one being the first. What the idea is that this story will slow up the tension until it ends. The second story will pick up with that tension and themes and raise it up, the end being the sort of climax. The third story will ease back down, and hopefuly will end with a damn good concluding theme, but all that's still in the 'thinking about it' stage so nothings for sure.
