Pretty much sums up why I never want children. Inspired by all the Def Poetry videos I was watching when I wrote this.
Same basic 10-1 structure as before, only this time, it's with syllables instead of words. Exercise for my poetry class.
Fun 10-1, 1-10 style that I did with a total of twenty lines, the first having ten words, the second nine, all the way down to one in the tenth line, and then it goes back up, starting with one in the eleventh, and so on, back to ten in the twentieth. Exercise for my poetry class.
This is just a small part of a much larger story, focusing on Ryland's everyday life; this is just a glimpse into it.
This is an extremely rough piece; I just wanted to get the basic plot out, and then I got stuck on it, so a lot of it seems forced to me. Any and all input on this would be kindly appreciated.
Wrote this for my poetry course a few weeks ago; don't really know what I think about it. I haven't written poetry in... years, so I'm still a bit rusty.

This is a relatively old piece, maybe four or five years old now. First piece in a series (though the pieces don't have to be read in any sort of order).

Again, an old piece. Personal favorite of the series.
