Written for my creative writing class. The form is very similar to my Silence on the Golden Bridge poem, but that was not intentional. I chose this form independently and with different intentions behind it.
Wrote this for my creative writing class. Inspired by the line "Flightless bird" by Iron and Wine's "Flightless bird, American mouth".
This is kind of an embarrassing story for me, but it was a vivid and introspective experience, so I had to write it all out. It started out as a blog, but then I transformed it into a short story for my Creative Writing class. Enjoy!
I'm a long winded writer, so this is my attempt at removing the fluff and getting to the skeleton quality of a piece. Something short and sweet.
Inspired by an episode of Smallville, with a "what if" twist. Ironically, I own a lot of the items pointed out in the story.
