Pieces for Secret santa :)
Commentary for The Gift- Continued.:
Ok so I got Kluny again, then what with uni assessments and all completely forgot about the secret santa up until last night, then read somewhere that we shouldn't have the same person as last time and argharghargharghargh
So this is a kinda continuation on the theme of last year- giving the gift of several places from me mind. I basically died when I read what neo had done for me and in no way expect this to be of as good quality which is sad- sorry Shan, I'm just not the writer old smilerboy is :'(
I might have to add some more pieces to this series to make up for this lackluster effort :/
The three pieces that make up my submitted work for semester one (we are only allowed 1500 words. One piece of Adult fiction, one poem and one piece of childrens writing.
It's all a bit fantasy tbh...
Commentary for Oak, finalised introduction.:
This is the submitted draft of my piece 'Oak'. I'm still not happy with the way it reads- altogether to cheesy for my liking, but I love my plot for it, so i'm sticking at it. It's all about interconnecting mythologies and gets pretty convoluted and crazy near the end.
Commentary for Holy Vision In Toilet Saves Gal From Suicide:
This is the final draft of my piece posted earlier as 'Breakdown'. It was built upon a writing exercise where we were given a title and asked to write a narrative poem based on it.
I'm still not 100% happy with it tbh.
Commentary for Monkfish Tales:
This was a piece written for younglings. I wanted to create a kind of gloomy, burtonesque feel with it but dunno how well that comes across.
I'm happy with the characters and the style though and that's the main thing.
the story was actually inspired by my piece 'The Rain House' (http://www.indyfluency.com/piece/1166. Upon rereading this I think I actually prefer it to my other submitted piece (Oak) because it seems less of a cheese attack...

This is my piece 'Oak' but from the perspective of the character Dane. Tried to make it a bit darker and more horror-esque.
A narrative poem written in about 2 hours for a creative writing assignment. It was supposed to be about a girl who is saved from suicide in a toilet by a holy vision.
Its okish...
This was written as part of an exercise in my first creative writing seminar at uni- it got good feedback- I personally think it's utter bullshizzle but hey i've been wrong before.
The mythologies involved include a lot of basic pagan tree worship, some horse sacrifice, a small reference to poseidons son and if you know what is special about a tree in a place called Shechem you'll know where thats going to.

These characters are real as the stones of Albion.
Random poetry crap
people seem to like it though
*grumbles*
There is no set order to these pieces, I just didnt like a load of single pieces cluttering up my main page :-/
I'm very VERY bored
and listening to "beneath the mire" by Opeth
so I thought I'd do some Voodooey Hoodoey mysticy moderny folklorey crossovery tales of weirdness set in a swamp :P
Features Lyrics from: 'Hurt'-Johnny Cash, 'Bleak'-Opeth and 'Schism'-Tool
enjoy!
I have decided to expand upon my piece 'asylum' and write a series of stories based in 'City' from that piece.
They may not end being related to one another, but I will try and make them as interesting as I can....
This is the series in which goes the users daylogs, please keep non-daylogs out of here, and keep daylogs in here. Also, do not edit the title of this, or pieces in it will not be recognised as daylogs, thanks.
