untitled
Doc sez `I 'pologise 'mfraid you'll be
from five hours hence an amputee`
Sez I to 'e `I think ye dense,
to see't as if 'twer my expense,
to lose these arms, 'sas if dead weights
was lifted from my prior fates.
`I'll kick the pigs and break their shields,
and make love in the open fields.
'cause arms are only, anyway
for makin' pins and takin' pay
`I's sure with words, now without pen,
To make 'em count right there and then,
I'll live in joy and love and mirth,
as was intended me since birth.
To live in reckless anarchy,
and in no armchair you'll find me.
Four others like this.

In theatre, we're doing a play called Spoon River Anthology and it's essentially a series of epitaphs and this sounds like something that would be in it. I like this a lot and I enjoy it when pieces are written how it's supposed to be read. I kind of want to act this piece out, it's great.
