A less loquacious May

We sat adjacent, tilting our heads
China cups cooling, your gloved hands lead
Onto your corset, then sun was split
To a lilied pond, that mirrored guilt.
Your rose tinted lips, told exposure
And did mine requite? But for closure
As my tailcoat seems, too tightly sewn
For breathless moments, quench alone.
