How strong are your army tanks?
Is their skin as thick as the one on your heart?
Did the tears of the children who were stripped
of their lives sting your nagging battle wounds?
Is the fight that rages on in your mind more
vicious than the one that plays on our streets?
Why do you sit and stare eagerly into your coffee cup,
desperate to salvage a transparent revolution?
Can't you see that your ignorance has cultivated
something far from bliss?
You've fused a bullet proof vest of politicians.
Will that protect you from citizens advancing rage?
Partisans who trade hollow secrets for silence.
