Green Eyes Shine

They never fail to shine,
Even through the picture frame.
I feel the radiation,
Of green eyes pouring over me.
Green eyes make me smile;
They can soothe a burn,
From a bad day,
Or a knife in the back
From a best friend.
Open the photo album and everything's okay.
A photo, a face, a pair of forest greens,
And nothing felt better.
Maybe if you were mine,
But I'm content with just a gaze,
When your green eyes shine.
