cupid saw it fit
to give me quite a treat
he threaded his bow
and sent it my way
and it proved my defeat
it moved for its target
where it soon pierced my heart
and lodged so deep
a rupture formed
and now it's torn apart
it appears, my bane
the line between like
and love is narrow
i crossed it
but you did not
as i die by cupid's arrow
