I look inside to see,
The person who is truly me:
For I hide how I feel,
So I don't know what is real.
Cause I always loved you,
I always knew I would;
But then I thought to myself
How Could......
How could a person open up their heart
Just to get it torn apart;
How could a person not see a lie
When it looked them straight in the eye.
How could a person never shed a tear
Or live without one little fear;
How could a person say "I do"
When they truly do not want to.
They live their life with shame
While carrying their husband's name;
Then one day they run into you
And to you, they wish they said," I Do".
