Awkward Silence Before The Storm

untitled
She's sitting, as frozen, across from where I'm standing.
She pretends to be staring into the darkness outside the window.
I know she's staring at my reflection.
She knows I'm staring at her.
I'm tired.
She's tired.
Not a word is spoken.
This is nothing new.
I want to scream, but she won't let me.
And vice versa.
How long will it take this time, we both wonder.
How long before it breaks.
Any minute now.
Any second now...
