A Question Soon Forgoten

untitled
The man of stone asks the ocean
The ocean asks the sky
The sky asks the yellow bird
Who was gliding by
The bird ruffles its feathers
It begins to cry
It does not know the answer
And it could not tell a lie
The yellow bird flew to heaven
It flew beyond the sky
Searching for a kingdom
Past this the world of you and I
It stopped and asked the moon
The moon could not reply
It stopped and asked the sun
Which spat at the passerby
But God eluded the yellow bird
He did not show his face
So the bird fell back to earth
As an angel without grace
He told the sky and the ocean
And the man who’s made of stone
That he could find no answers
In space, cold and alone
So they began to ponder
As wise men often do
But the question was forgotten
As questions often are…
Three others like this.
