The Mystery Of The Dark Mirror [ Episode 1 ]

It was a dark autumn night, when Sandra Evans looked out her window, the night sky gleamed by the rays of the moon. She slipped on her slippers and silently walked through the door, careful not to catch any attention from her room-mates. She carefully walked down the long staircase, her robe irritated her, covering her feet, making it hard to move. She looked out the window again, the big black sky spread through the whole world, stretching above the endless seas and oceans. She continued through the long stair-case, watching her step. Her long blond hair dropped to her shoulders as she undid her ponytail. She bit her lip, listening for any signs of footsteps. She noticed the sun rising beyond the hills in the distance, the brightness momentarily blinded her. She lost her strength slightly, as she reached out her hand to help her maintain her balance. She pricked up her ears, focusing strongly on the sound of footsteps coming towards her. Using her wit and skills, she quickly undid the grand maroon curtains that hung beside the huge windows. The curtains draped over the windows, covering the bright sun which had now shown it's face clearly. She silently hid behind the curtains, and stood there, shielding her eyes from the bright rays of the radiant sun. The footsteps grew louder and louder by each passing second. "It's good to see that there are no students roaming around today." She could hear her principle, Ms. Maple Johnson, say. Cold sweat rolled down Sandra's cheeks, her tension was rising. Ms. Maple came closer to the curtain she was hiding behind. Sandra exhaled and inhaled, calming her inner mind and soul. She could just make out what Ms. Maple was doing. She was silently looking at the curtain, her sharp eyes seemed to pierce through her Sandra's body. Ms. Maple sighed, and left. Relieved, Sandra left her hiding spot, her nerves calmed down. She quickly made her way back to her room, satisfied from her midnight stroll. She silently opened the door again, listening to the soft snored of her room-mates. She smiled to herself, feeling excited by the fact that she hadn't been caught by Ms. Maple this time. *** Classes started, and all the pupils rushed in and out of their rooms, hurrying to the water-basin as they grabbed their tooth-brushes. Sandra hurriedly awoke her room-mates and rushed to the water-basin. First class was English, and she did not want to miss the lesson. After she finally managed to get ready, she hurried along to English class with Surabhi and Naajila. As they were walking along the corridor, something caught Sandra's eye. "You guys go ahead", she said. Surabhi and Naajila exchanged looks, and hurried to class. Sandra noticed a door she had never seen before in the corner of the corridor. There was a gold sign labeled on it, which said " DARERS MAY ENTER " Sandra's curiosity got the better of her. She opened the door, as a bright flash of light burst through-out her whole body, spilling through the whole corridor. Her eyes seemed to flash with anticipation, as she slowly regained her ability to see. The room hidden beyond the door was old and dusty, and only one object could be seen in the room. She slowly approached the object, her vision still blur from the unexpected welcome. When she finally regained her vision, she could see a dusty mirror in the centre of the room, which stood there grandly, although it was covered in a thick layer of dust. The door suddenly slammed shut. Sandra screamed, as she rushed to the door, banging onto the door, her shouts of help didn't seem to reach further beyond the door. She felt her body being pulled into an endless dream, her whole eyes flashed into a distant memory, her thoughts flew in and out, and when she finally found stable ground, she lost her balance completely . . . and she blacked-out.
