The shot tore out of the dark, spinning then dropping it's intended target, turning his accomplise took the secund shot in the face, half decapitating him. The shooter came out of the shadow, holstering a smoking six shooter in a dark leather belt. The belt completed the outfit, a long dark brown trench coat and a wide brimed stetson, casting a shadow over the top half of his face. Rough trousers and boots with little iron spures made up the bottom half of his uniform, and a large, brass badge showd him to be the new sheriff in town.
The sheriff walked along the wooden bording that served as a walk way around the town, each bored creaking under his weight, the town had been silenced by the shots. The sheriff just kept on walking, pushing open the door of his office, the coffin of the previous sheriff was still in the corner. He removed his hat and gave a wide smile to his deputies.

Deputy Payne looked up from his card game with the drunk Bull Hardy, he was winning, and didn't take the interruption well, looking up he saw the imposing figure of the new sheriff, dressed in dark leather and with two colt peacekeepers round his waist. he had heard the gun shots, everyone had, great all he needed was another trigger happy sheriff in town, that meant shooting and shooting meant getting shot, and that wasn't good.
'Spose' your the new sheriff for these parts then.'
'Looks to be the case, and your my men, so you either gonna listen to what i tell you, or get busy dieing, cus i aint gonna take any shit from my men, you'll find me a fair sheriff, but if you gonna be all resentful of me, well i can play it that way if youse likes it.'
'Now listen here...' The drunk Bull Hardy stumbled to his feat and put a withstraining hand on his friend.
'Lets not fight bouts this Payne, justs lets it go.'
Payne sat down, anger in his eyes for a heartbeat.

Six had been given the job of sheriff a month ago now, it had taken him that long to travel cross country to his posting, some shit hole back alley middle of desert cluster of building called Serpants Rock, a no were town, with all to much going on.
He arrived at just after sun down on his old ride, a battered chopper based on a black shadow, the engine raw anonced his arrival.
In the dark he followed the lights to the nearest inn, quickly settling down for a whiskey. Behind him three men played cards, a fight broke out between them over cheating. Turning on his stool, six looked round ready to intervene, before he completed his rotation one guy was on the floor, a nife in his chest. The flapping doors, the only hint that two man had been there not so long ago.
Running out six turned left and followed the wet footprints, turning another corner he saw them, he drew out a peacmaker and took aim at one, firing it, shooting again to take out the accumplice.

'Awwww hell Payne, you lucky dog.'
Payne smiled, picking up the cards and shufferling them again, dealing Bull and himself another two cards. Two shots rung out from the darkness, Hardy reached for the shotgun propped against the wall, 'Leave it Bull, aint are problem til someone says it is, now you gonna bet or what?'
