She hugged him, out of sympathy “Oh honey.” She said while stroking his hair.

“I’m not hopeless you know,” he spits with a dull bitter tone.

“Oh yeah?” she didn’t make the sarcastic eyes that she makes this time; you could her it well enough in her voice.

“You’re the idiot woman,” he still spits, but with a little more purpose this time, I see a smirk rising on his face.

“Bite me,” now with just an arrogant tone the insults become a harmless joke, they giggle, laugh, she reminds him to pay the rent at the bank today and smiles are exchanged, all normal etiquettes are shown please and thank you plus smiles are tossed about almost as much as moments of disinterest. I interject, as always letting what I’m thinking come out of my mouth, sucking myself into the madness bubble that they’ve created. They look at me with bored, pseudo bewildered faces at once they said “Got us.” AAAhhh how I crumbled I don’t know what I was thinking despair, embarrassment, shame, or even the joy of the end of a battle for the last fallen soldier, but I felt rather empty if I’m allowed a understatement as what I thought was an established grip on reality crumbled away with me and then I went to go buy milk.
