O’ Lucifer!
Let me closer
To lick your brittle shine
As daylight casts a counterpart
O’ shadow, such alikeness!
If I could meet you in the flesh -
But no,
This echo; merely an image
Shall but nullify the pulchritude of one’s self
Venus! Adonis!
Cry you in envy of my splendour?
Even my tongue is one of more merit
Than your svelte.
I have ripped the feathers from a thousand peacocks -
Dripping with stagnation
Shrieking in shame.
And now, now I barrage and destroy you;
Garrotting your children;
Smothering your singing;
Pillaging your air
Molesting your water
Crucifying your wind
Laughing at your fire.
Now, I condemn you
For I walk amongst the stones of fire
But you and I are not unlike -
Profane is our terrestrial love
Vain is our celestial love
Yet O’, how ardent is your fire!
Cinders of humility
An ash of weak hypocrisy
Maudlin and unchafed
Oppressed, to mediocrity.
Now, I condemn you.

"lick your brittle shrine" sounds dirty
