The streets are damp with nature's rejuvenation, persperation of the earth, cool, and life-giving You tremble under the weight of the rain, for it washes all you know away It seems I lost my faith in a yard full of pine trees; evergreen Cool rushes of wind shake the never dying leaves, rustling what's left of me. Winding roads carry rain places that kept her sane, forests full of fireflies flicker to life, magic that murders the strife The wind blows harder, leaves soar to the air, blessed with their momentary flight.. Night descends, casting wishing stars across the sky, the hours pass, but still.. Strain to hear the dripping, the dripping of the rain; because with it, we wash all away.. It trickles through my memory, and then the chills start coming, but it's just a chilling breeze, yet somehow, it finds it's way to the yard of trees.. It throws around red pine needles, they billow, for they are free.. No longer my evergreen.

Wow. I really like this piece. Very visual. I especially like all the nature imagery. My first dog's name was saber :)
