first and foremost, what is it?
it's a collection of words, phrases, and sounds
that when put together just right by a sentient being
form ideas, opinions, emotions,
thoughts.
you can be elequant, if one pleases
use phrases like sexual congress, pardon? and but I digress
the rest of us can use fuckin', wtf, and
anyway.
it's born of relfex,
regurgitation is for the rest of the world
prose, science, and mathematics
what we got here are addicts
of syllables and bits and parts that fit (coincidentally) to
flow
what else can create
a world, worlds, entire planes of motherfucking existence
simply with one's opinion of
what sounds right
who else can say that a story was told
sordid, funny, or otherwise
enraptured, embodied, personified
in a few, short
verse
