I think that the ‘right’ thing to do is very subjective. For me it depends on a whole range of things. The situation, intention, outcome, and all the different sides of the story counter into it, making it impossible to have absolutes. Things are not always black and white. I think ‘the right thing’ is a state of mind, because people mostly always feel right and justified in what they are doing, although others may not feel the same. Doing ‘the right thing’ is a very confusing subject, and I think you can only ever really go by what you truly feel is right, staying true to what you believe. If you don’t agree or can’t justify what you are doing then it probably isn’t the ‘right thing’ to do. Though of course, you never really know.

I don’t think anyone has the right to kill someone or something else. No matter what that person has done they should still not have their life taken away from them because it would make the person who did so just as bad, and that is not fair to them. Who says it us up to one person to command the life of another? Every person’s life and experiences are different and unique, just like the individual. No one could really say that this person should be stripped of the right to live the rest of their life because of something they have done, because no one knows everything about that person.
