untitled

As leaves would fall from hollow trees I wish that blue skies turned to grey Then calm breath from the violin Made seas hide passion from the bay If modest birds could never sing I wish that lips would taste of ink Time would stop and start again Then we’d have nothing left to think. And so the buds could never smile I wish the seeds knew of their dame Then water turned a shade of red That erstwhile put my thoughts to shame. As life falls through an hourglass I wish that all that’s fair was dull Then you could stand in front of me And you might find me beautiful.
