Same day.

Same arguement.

Same life.

"She's not my daughter, Nina! She's yours, and you knew I hated her from the moment I saw her. She isn't mine, I shouldn't have to take responsibility!" he shouted, throwing a glass, a chair, anything.

"You knew she was part of my life! She's my daughter! She's the one who's kept us together for this long! Why don't you go thank her? Oh, I know why. Because you'll beat her again. And then you'll come after me, and then what are you going to do? The money's gone. The house is being sold. Your family don't want you, your job doesn't want you...What's left? Us? You abuse us" she screamed, tears running down her face, fast and furiously.

"Fine. You know what? I'll leave then. I'll fucking leave. Because I'm not appreciated here. I'm not appreciated anywhere. Fine!"

"No, don't! I'll talk to her! I'll talk to her! She'll never answer back. I'll send her to her fathers! Anything, just don't leave!"

"No, you've gone too far, it's over!"

"No, don't! I didn't mean it!"

"Yes, you did. Move out of the way! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY NINA. MOVE OR I'LL-"

Sudden silence.

Then a piercing scream.

I sit in my room, trying to block out the arguement by reading Peter Kay's autobiography. I keep repeating in my head, "this isn't the worst arguement. You've been through worse."

I slowly raise up my top, and stare down at the scars on my stomach. I trace them lightly, the pain shooting through me like a bullet shot from a gun.

I scan my body for more bruises, more signs. I'll have to explain if people see them.

Then 12 thundering steps.

A crash of an opening door.

A man,with his fists.

This war isn't over just yet.

I don't think I can find anything wrong with this piece. It's passionate, involving, well written, well structured and enthralling. This should be put up on the blog. +1

This is a good piece. My only problem is the punctuation and such-- run it through spellcheck or a similar program and the problem should be fixed.
