My view of society

untitled
A many devoured soul
Has walked through those
Pretentious doors,
And they just walk right through with
A self-assuring grin,
And they try to forget who they were,
And try to become who they should be.
There they learn how to bandage up,
When all else just hurts to bad to be real,
So they watch a show about it, where
Someone can act for them, and they
Can do the right thing, in the right lighting.
They can walk away with a degree of
Self-worth measured in societal doses,
Back into leathered story-book lives,
Too good to write.
