Black ink staining scribbles that scream useless
And an anxious pen clenched in straining fingers
Turn the text into an itchy mass of symbols--
A failed attempt to burn the infection out of your chest
And fight back the cancerous leech that repulses
The black ooze that mingles in the puss and blood
And sets its roots down in the cavity that held your heart;
Feel it spread the ugly wings of despair across your skin
Discard the darkness
Discard the shell
Brave crusader, see your limbs twitch with maddening excitement
And slam your palms on the wood to curb it.
