Acid Casualty

untitled
In the absence of an absence
Filling in my lacunae
Sipping shots of absinthe
Lazing in the shade
All the visions love the dancing
They listen to pan's flute play
Time's a friend who's placid
Helps my worries fade
Now why would I leave this labrynthe
I am safer lost this way
Lost in drops of acid
Make love with the rain
Four others like this.

I keep coming back to this and liking it even more each time. Why does this have neither the amount of votes nor comments it should have?

actually, the middle stanza loses it for me. it seems to have a different less bored/frustrated/lonely tone to it and it's incongruous (to me) when read with the others... *shrugs*
This was supposed to be a poem about being a hippee bum in the summer, about relaxing and completely shirking your cares for the sake of escapism and chemically induced hallucinations.
