To say that I'm a writer would be pretentious. To say that I'm not a writer would be equally pretentious. I find it increasingly easier to say that I'm a writer. Of course that doesn't mean I increasingly feel like much of a writer. Nothing I wrote as a writer has been published. Nothing might as well ever be. I never even gave it a shot yet.
