IF Spotlight - Next: Ironypills (Update - What's The Hold Up Dan?)

Hey people.

So in order to work back in to IF, and to bring some new blood and life in to things, I decided, with neo's permission, to start something new called IF Spotlight. This will be an interview with one IF member. The format will be:

1) I will read their work, formulate serious questions, and ask them.
2) I will also ask ridiculous and meaningless questions.
3) When it is known who the next person will be, users can suggest questions to have asked.
4) Users will also nominate who will be spotlighted next.
5) This will be posted on the forum and sent via email.

It will be a mix of serious, hopefully thoughtful questions, and irrelevant but crowd pleasing nothingness. I am hoping to do this once a month at least, but maybe later on bi-weekly, pending outside world committment.

When the spotlighted person is chosen, I'll contact them to see how they will wish to comminute (via what means) and when it is best to do so for the both us. The goal is to have this be community driven, as after all, IF is a community.

Any ideas, of course, in general, are welcome as well.

Mar.15.09

  • neo has put up my interview with AEtherLightning, and it can be found at http://www.indyfluency.com/newsletter/IFS2. He requests that you follow the link on that page to save the MP3 file to your own computer, and don't stay on that page too long so that it doesn't buffer all the way, because this would tax the IF servers.

Mar.10.09

  • After a good battle, our next spotlighted member will be ironypills. Although the interview will probably not be for awhile, you can feel free to post questions already.

Mar.08.09

  • I have completed my interview with AEtherLightning and have sent it off to neo, so expect that within the week hopefully.
  • It's time to nominate someone new! AEtherLightning thinks ironypills might make a good candidate.
  • The new version of IF Spotlight is up. It was up before today, actually, but I've been preoccupied and am just now able to tell you all. Any feedback can be posted here.

I like it as well (spot on Dan!), though I don't have questions for neo. I talk to him too much (as if there were such a thing!) to have questions for 'im :P


I also enjoy parentheses immensely (in case you couldn't tell).
