IE6... is an issue of principle for me. It will take a fair bit of effort to get it perfect in IE6, and so as long as it's not unusable I'm reluctant to put that effort in. My unofficial policy is that all users should be able to view things, but when it comes to adding or changing only javascript-enabled modern browsers are supported. The problem with the shoutbox textarea being weird.. are there any IE7 users who can tell me if it happens there too? I've got some weird issues with the IE rendering engine going totally crazy and making everything disappear.
Piece Display (I assume this is what you meant, AE). Until very recently (yesterday morning) it
was on the right hand side. I had to make a compromise there because that right bar becomes very cluttered on some pages (view a piece that's in a series for an example), and that would push either the EmoBox or the Piece Display quite far down the page. I opted to move it, it seemed more in keeping with the discovery/usage vs info, left vs right dichotomy.
I think I originally heard prosetry from Ironypills, you'd have to ask her if she got it from you

Then again, she is the meme-master...
Yeah! I've no idea why radio___clash and Kiki are so far up. it's ordered by user_id, which on IF1 was equivalent to join date. But when I did the importing, for some reason radio___clash got number 3 user_id! The sorting is actually already implemented, I'll put up some instructions on how to use it.
<3f is friending. At the moment it's more of a 'watch'. When you click it, you'll be notified of all new pieces and userpage changes by that user.
I am listening to complaints and such. These responses are more to explain my thinking than to justify them, and please express it if you take issue with those responses. Obviously we won't be going back to IF1, but yeah...
If anyone could explain exactly what it is about the new levels it is that bothers them, that'd be great.
Cluttered is a vague word

I have indeed done my best to put all the information I can onto each page, and there is more information on the page rather than in the top-right corner. There's also no denying that it's more complex, but for the most part you can ignore the complexity. If you just want to read/write/comment, with no frills, things are mostly still the same.
