Indyfluency Band
« on: August 10, 2007, 08:57:57 pm »
I always wondered what it would be like to be in one of those internet bands that send tracks back and forth and put together songs that way. I think something like this was mentioned in a thread or somewhere, but here it is.

What kind of music would it be? I would think it would be like noise rock a la Sonic Youth with a mix of female and male vocals.

That was me and Goldy. I wrote lyrics (Nightnday, it's on my page) and he sent me some basslines to work with. But I can't figure out the melody, so the project has come to a standstill. If someone who was a better musician than me tried it, I'm pretty sure it would sound like Panic! at the Disco with Allen Ginsberg lyrics, and the occaisonal theremin solo.

hmmm

Well I can pretty much work my style to any genre of Musico

We should do a smooth Jazz track (as I believe has been discussed before)

but at 275BPM...

if it at 275 BPM then there is no way it will be smooth jazz...

also i can play the tuba for said song, or the trombone if i really put effort into remembering slide positions...

We should put an amp wirelessly hooked up to a guitar into a washing machine, put the machine on the dry cycle, and record as I played A Minor chords over and over.

Oh, and I can play neat little riffs on a guitar, and then scream quite convincingly into a microphone. That is the extent of my musical ability.

Many a times I've hoped to start or be included in such a project. Let this be it! I can contribute with drums, recorder, vocals, lyrics... And such.

Also, does it really matter if there's "8 layers of guitar on it already"? That'd be cool in an IF way.
