The Milk Movie

I think I'm gonna write a screenplay, which will eat away from my regular time of writing but, I guess I could post scenes on here. I've always wanted to make films like all of the people I idolize, so I thought, "well, whatever, sure".
Thinking about it having to do with someone who is now in the underworld of music fame but, starred in a series of popular tv commercials in the 80's and is plagued by it. I dunno, just thinking about it.

It's ironic because I'm not.

I'm writing a screenplay for film class at the moment!
Actually, right now I am storyboarding. But that is beside the point.
It is a lot of fun.

May I ask if any of you know what the easiest and most-efficient screenwriting programs are?

Screenwriting is very fun, and what I hope to do with my life.
But I write mine down on paper, so I haven't used a screenwriting program.
And I know you weren't asking me, just saying in advance.
That's an interesting premise for your screenplay. What films do you idolize?

Well, Wes Anderson is my favorite. I like Michel Gondry and Todd Solondz, too. I, also, enjoy David Fincher's visual style. Rian Johnson a great up-in-comer, too.

This is going to sound weird, but I've never seen anything by David Fincher. I know, I know...blahblah how could I not see Fight Club blahblahblah...I wanted to see Zodiac until I found out it was focused on Graysmith. I'll probably still see it eventually. Got a movie you can rec?
I personally really really like Sophia Coppola's style. Ever see anything by her?
Sorry. I'm sort of a huge movie geek. Eeek!

Did you see Marie Antoinette?
If so: you must. She got to film at freaking VERSAILLES. It's absolutely stunning...and the costumes! Oh my gosh, a very well deserved Oscar. It wasn't my favorite of her films, but I still really liked it, and I thought she handled the end very cleverly.
Mmhmm.

LOLZ marie antoinette
pretty but substance-proof-less
lost in translation is pretty poor btdubs. You heard of David Lynch I'm sure: ERASERHEAD!
but also check out the movie El Topo and Holy Mountain, both by the same guy, something like alejandro jodorowski(?) wikipedia will answer that question. Pretty wild, but saggy at the midsection.

dfalsdkfjasd I must disagree with you, aslid...oh, you know the rest of your name. Haha.
I just think that Coppola tends to introduce her plots in abstract ways--she doesn't let the movie move along as most movies do, where you meet the characters in the beginning and watch the progression of the plot before it hits the climax and then you get a resolution (or, well, you don't get a resolution is some movies, but you know). Instead, most times I feel as if I'm watching random scenes that absolutely little to nothing to do with what's happening in the story. AND I LOVE IT.
I feel like those scenes reveal the characters to us; it may not advance the plot, but it fleshes out the character to be a whole person. That sort of filmmkaing strikes a chord with me, personally, but I know that a lot of people don't really like it.
Marie Antionette wasn't supposed to be this historically accurate biopic. It was meant to entertain, and show us who Marie was through Coppola's vision--perhaps that wasn't how she was in real life, but who can know? I certainly wasn't alive in the 1700's, and neither was anyone else I know. Haha. Also, I just had to love the setting--I'm also a bit of a history nerd about French history and being able to see the palace was so neat.
I don't think Marie Antoinette was an entire success. But I most certainly don't think it a failure. I still really liked it.
SORRY. I know I rambled. soorrrrryyyyyy. I just really like to talk about movies. Heh.

o yeah i loved marie antoinette
just saying that it was pretty but the plot was vague etc and the ending bothered me. I LOVE LOOKING AT KIRSTEN DUNST IN FANCY CLOTHES ALSO ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE IN FANCY CLOTHES. plus it was cool how occasional shots were set up like classic paintings. it was a good movie, but like you said definitely not entirely accurate all that. 'let them eat cake' was a great little bit btdubs.

I didn't love the ending at first. It took me awhile of thinking about it before I decided it was a good way to end it. I mean, it was this light, frilly, candies and drinking and silliness kind of film. I just can't imagine a really great transition from that to the guillotine.
"Guillotine" doesn't look like I spelled it right.
Psh. French is only my minor. I don't have to be THAT good at it.
