Btw, I read this Douglas Coupland book, where someone working in a computer programming office theorizes that all computer programmers, ie, geeks, are mildly autistic, which inhibits their social skills. Thats what makes them geeks. So she figures that all these people are really in need of love, but they can't handle much contact with humans cause it gives them panic attacks. She builds a hugging machine for the office to fill this unspoken need, and productivity increases exponentially as a result.

I think that's pretty awesome.
