Hey everyone...

I was just thinking about the site and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to organize a big IF voice chat get together... We could  use skype or teamspeak or summat... people could maybe read pieces out loud, or just talk about random crap, whatever, I just think it would be fun to do...

The biggest problem is going to be everybody's time zone differences... I am east coast US, so neoeno is 5 hours ahead of me and ironypills is most likely in tomorrow, plus there are probably people on the west coast who are 3 hours behind... but we can cross that bridge if we get to it...

Just an idea i had, anyone interested??

We could read the poems like beat poems! And read our stories with different voices for each person! I LOVE THIS IDEA!

Skype does conference calling, dunno how well it stands high-loads though, depends on the number of people.

As long as everyones' microphones are in GOOD WORKING ORDER, sounds good.

I'm on the East Coast of the USA, too.

I actually have to work on Easter, though.  Doesn't that SUCK?  What kind of restaurant/bar is open on Easter?

But hey, depending on the time...

The sucky part is my parents. We only have one computer that is connected to the internet and it's in the MAIN ROOM. So, thats REALLY GAY. But, I'm just hoping its at a time when they AREN'T here, if not, I'll figure out a way to get on through my room or from my Wii.

seeing as how I do not have a Mac... No...

if we are going to do it Easter, we should do it early afternoon, then neo can still get on, it will be late night for him...

but i was hoping we could get a whole bunch of people together... at least 10...

and to radtastic, well, when do you have to work on Easter?? cause i still don't even know if we will be doing it then, but i think we would pick a time that works best for the most amount of people...

i dunno...

well i look at it this way... if we are just limited to the US and UK then it becomes a lot easier...

lets say its 4 pm my time, thats 1 pm on west coast and 9 pm in the UK... very feasible... however, if ironypills wants to join us, this is then 6 am the next day in New Zealand... now if we do it like 8 pm my time, that is 5 pm west and 1 am UK, this means irony could join us at 10 am on the next day which is still pretty early... the more different time zones we have, the harder it becomes to fit everyone in...

basically right now I just would like a list of people with their respective time zones... so if you are interested in actually talking to the cool people of IF, please leave that info in this thread and we shall see from there... things like program used and time of chat will be determined later...

while this makes me eternally sad... ironypills will not be able to 'grace' us with her sultry voice... because i mean everyone else's voices are nice, but hey, they are no ironypills... =P

it does make the logistics of such a venture slightly easier... unless of course there is somebody else from some really odd time zone... anybody hailing from south africa or something??

maybe we can record some of it and post it for everyone to hear... that way people who can't come join us can at least see the crazy shenanigans that arise when the lot of us is put into a voice chat room...
