/New Zealander. Woopee!

Speaking of kiwi's (the fruit now) anyone ever eat them with the skin. Like you'd eat an apple? They're good!

1. Why are new Zealanders called kiwis? And why are so many internet people kiwis?
2. I have eaten a kiwi with the skin on. It is disgusting. It feels like you're eating some kind of rodent.

We are called kiwis because the only exciting things over here are native trees and runty birds.

Pahutokawas was a bit of a mouthful, so yeah. Kiwis we are.

Also, we call kiwi fruit, kiwifruit. And the skin is okayish.
